1980
This restored 1980 AMF Alcort Puffer is perfect for a young sailor's first
boat or fun for the whole family. It's ready to sail when you are. In the
water on Aug 27 and had a blast.
Over the last 18 months the Puffer's hull and topside have been completely
refinished with premium grade epoxy barrier coat, 2-part epoxy color coat on
hull, 2-part automotive lacquer topside. All non-skid surfaces re-done with
roll-on truck bed liner and very fine sand, then top-coated with Interlux
epoxy like the rest of the boat, and finished it at the same time as the
rest of the topside with automotive 2-part lacquer.
All the deck and hull fittings (except two) were stripped off, disassembled,
cleaned, refurbished as needed, and bedded in black 3M 5200 (special marine
mastic). Oar lock receivers were cleaned and reinstalled without
re-bedding.

David,
Thank you so much for running my ad. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! To date there have been about 750 hits on that page. The little Puffer sold about two weeks ago just as you said it would. Its new family is a wonderful couple from Arkansas with 3 children. They came and got it, so the deal is done and I just need to mark it “sold”. Over the winter I’m restoring a 25-foot 1964 Cheoy Lee Frisco Flyer, so I’ll be running another ad in a few months. Thanks again!
Sincerely, Terry
