There are 2 ways to the Gulf from here:
1. Down the Cumberland River to the Ohio, a short trip down the Ohio River to the Mississippi and then to the Gulf
2. Down the Cumberland, across a short canal to the Tennessee River, upstream (South) on the Tennessee to the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway which I think ends in Mobile Bay.
Either way requires approximately 7-10 days.
