I purchased a sailboat, Chung Hwa, from Dale Bigelow who advertised a sailboat on your site.....When attempting to cross the bay with a friend of mine the boat was dismasted(the mizzen). We found severe rot in both masts. I asked the owner if there was any rot present and he said unequivocally: NO!"......I put into the boat new aluminum masts and rigging, raw water pump, repaired all the leaking ports, had to have the decks reglassed, repair rot in sole underpinnings, replaced thru-hulls, extensive sail repairs, new upholstery, new charger, new batteries, rebuild windlass, replace running gear, redo bright work,, etc.
