1983 ComPac 16
I have thoroughly enjoyed this Compac 16, and find it very difficult to part with her. She is just a pleasure to captain.
She is an elegant creature that will capably carry you off the ramp or out of the marina when other sailors are frankly too nervous to go. She is a stable vessel, eager to "put to sea" even in heavy wind.
She has about 450 pounds of ballast, displacing approximately 1100 pounds. This 40% ballast ratio is how the big boats are built and how they maintain their stability. She's shoal-drafted.
Main and jib sails, original, sail-bag
Trailer with good tires, hitch is 1 7/8", bearing buddies, spare bearings kit, spare bulbs
Halyards replaced '06
All exterior wood re-stained & lacquered in '06
Wildflower Blue Cove-stripe & Water-line in '06
Old British SeaGull engine that needs a fixin' (I never use a motor)
David,
A gentleman saw it on Sailing Texas, came out the same day, made an offer, and towed her away.
Thank you for all that you do!
