1987 ComPac 16
This is the Mark II version of the classic 16 foot Pocket Cruiser from Huchins/ Com-pac Yachts. Designed to be small and easy
to manage yet provide the feel of a much bigger yacht. The boat has 450 lbs of ballast in the wing foil stub keel that gives
the boat stability and safety while allowing this sailboat to go into water too shallow for most other boats -sail or power.
Drafting only 18" you can get the boat into shore close enough that you can jump out and not get your shorts wet. The 6' 11"
foot cockpit can seat 4 adults and the 2 8' quarter berths can each fit a tall adult. The cabin has teak trim and a yacht
feel in a mini cruiser. The boat only weights 1100 lbs so it can be towed by most cars. I installed a swing away trailer
tongue so that it will fit in most garages. The rig is so simple that one person can easily set up and launch this boat
alone. A great daysailor with overnight possiblities. This is the Mark II version which includes the teak and stainless steel
bowsprit that improves windward performance.
This boat is ready to sail. The best feature of this deal
is that the boat includes a NEW main sail. The only issue with the boat is that there are micro blisters on the hull. These
are not from the boat sitting in water, but from rain water sitting inside the boat while stored on the trailer. For this last
year that I have had the boat, it has been stored in a garage. I have been told by an expert that these blisters do not
affect the structural strength of the hull. I have lowered the price of the boat to allow for this. This a great boat at a
great price.

The boat has sold, so you can take my listing down. Thank you so
much. I found a local buyer through Craigslist, but I did have
many responses from SailingTexas. It sold for $2100.
Thanks
again
