We purchased her about 5 years ago and I began extensive upgrades and overhauls. Being a Cabinetmaker I looked forward to renovating the interior. I did it all with Teak plywood and Teak hardwoods. I refitted the portholes and installed vinyl headliner on the ceiling and the interior hull walls. The hatch is new Teak plywood and also has poly UV stable water-based Teak finish which is easy to apply and holds up very well. I do not use varnish. My experience is that varnish does not hold up well. The bottom was sanded and 3 coats of Interlux Epoxy barrier coat applied. I used a gloss polyurethane finish since the boat does not stay in water. The outside hull has minor cosmetic scratches.
The boat came with 2 sets of sails neither any good. The new sails were custom made by FX Sails in 2009.
