Although she is a Coastal Cruiser, she has won races. Recent modifications to the battened mainsail made her the fastest Hunter 36 in the harbor. She is comfortable in any anchorage and her plumb bow minimizes pitching in the crossing. She is equipped with a Dinghy Tow lifting and storage system which allows you to tow the dinghy tightly secured to the stern. In the slip the dinghy can be lifted and stowed against the bimini frame out of the water. She comes with a colorful asymmetrical code-zero spinnaker with dousing sock that is rigged inside the jib so that it can be easily tacked without dousing. The Code-Zero can be used as close as 40 degrees off the wind.
Hunters have a tall fractional rig to carry less weight aloft with smaller sections. This is accomplished by utilizing swept-back spreaders and reverse diagonals as well as mast support struts. This combination provides superior strength without a backstay and increases the stability at the same time.
An integrated arch protects the cockpit from snapping main sheets and blistering sun with the bimini. The arch mounted traveler gives excellent control to the main. The swim platform and walkthrough transom complete with shower and folding ladder are perfect for water sports or for boarding the dinghy. Storage is everywhere you look and the non-skid is absolutely first-rate.
