1963 Snipe #14371
Wood hull and deck, wood mast and 2 wood booms, wood whisker pole. Old Snipe sails. SCIRA office provided the following information: #14371 was built in 1963 by Ed Mitchell of Parker, Colorado (owner/builder), it was measured April 12, 1964 by Harold Huesman in Denver. Original weight 430#, which was the class limit at that time. This boat needs a lot of tender loving care to be restored. It is currently owned by Community Sailing of Colorado, a non profit childrens program in Denver, Colorado and would require too much work and money to restore. No picture is included because, in it's present condition it is not pretty. This boat will never be competetive again, but the right person with sweat and muscle grease could make her a pretty sailboat again, great for an evening sail. Take it with out a trailer and any offer will be entertained and probably excepted. Take it with a trailer and we would ask $150 for the trailer. Ask to speak with Marty Mulhern for more information about hull integrity and those kind of things. Marty has taken a very close and analytical look at this boat.
