The dark green cushions are new, as is the foam. The Tartan 37 C sleeps up to 7 in two cabins. The forward owners' cabin has generous v-berths with a filler. Headroom is excellent at about 6' 4". Ventilation comes from a large overhead hatch with teak screens. Two opening ports are also in the owners' stateroom. Two hanging lockers, three drawers and two cabinets offer lots of storage. A louvered door separates the owners' cabin from the main salon. Another door gives owners private access to the head. There are built in shelves above the v-berths. New dark green cushions and new 5" foam are a nice addition
The head offers a new marine toilet, stainless steel sink, shower with teak grating, a teak medicine cabinet, and lots of storage behind two teak sliding doors. An opening hatch and overhead stainless deck cowl bring in air.
The salon is open and airy. The teak dining table folds up against the bulkhead when not in use. A pilotberth is to stbd. and is an excellent sea berth. Weather cloths are fitted to mid-ship berths. Several lockers offer lots of storage space. A third hanging locker is in the salon for foul weather gear. A liquor locker is between built-in book shelves. An overhead opening hatch brings in air, as does 6 opening ports. The L-settee to port has storage behind the seat backs, as does the settee to stbd. New high-quality stainless halogen cabin lights are throughout the vessel.
The galley is U-shaped and easy to work at anchor or underway. A large top=loading icebox can accommodate 2 20-lb ice blocks which can last up to a week. The icebox is removed from the engine compartment, making it more efficient. A Force 10 range and oven was added in 1998, and uses safe CNG. Two CNG bottles come with the vessel. A safety harness & pad eyes allow hands free meal prep while at sea. Double stainless steel sink with pressure hot and cold water plus sea water hand pump. A water filtration system is fitted. There is lots of storage space for plates, cups, glassware, pots, pans and food stores. The Tartan offers generous counter space for meal preparation and entertaining.
Across from the galley is the nav station and quarter berth. The large nav table has a comfortable saddle seat, with lots of space for course plotting. There is a large storage space under the lift-up lid. A GPS and chartplotter are at the nav station along with a VHF radio and RDF. The electrical panel is in front of the navigator. Behind the nav table is a double quarter berth. The hinged nav seat can be moved to form part of the quarter berth to form the double. There is an opening port in the quarter berth as well as reading light. Storage is under the quarter berth as well as under the V-berth.

The seat height and distance between P & S seating are perfect when on the wind. The T-shaped cockpit makes getting around the 36" s.s. wheel easy and convenient. The coamings are perfect height and width for sitting outboard of the wheel. The winches are within easy reach for sail trim. And there is a very large and deep sail locker that will accommodate 3 or 4 sails, fenders dock lines, etc. There is also a lazarrette locker behind the helm for storing smaller items.
