Often described as a pocket yacht, the Cirrus certainly lives up to this title.
Six feet of standing headroom, four berths, galley, enclosed head, and the electric start inboard engine all make this a fantastic little vintage cruiser-racer.
The Cirrus has proven her worth as an offshore boat as well.
Built to endure the toughest conditions, this fine example has made two round trips from San Francisco to Hawaii and has cruised extensively from the San Juans to the Sea of Cortez.
Having always wanted to restore a vintage sailboat, we spared no expense in bringing Christian back to Bristol condition. Beginning with a fresh bottom job, we Awlgripped the top sides and deck. New non-skid was applied during the process for a perfect look. New boot and cove stripes were added plus custom decals. All bright work has been refinished, and the mast and boom were also taken down to bare metal and Awlgripped in classic Cordovan gold paint. All upholstery is in the process of being replaced, and the cabin will show like new upon completion. The Vire water cooled two-stroke inboard is mechanically sound and runs well. The boat is equipped with a brand new main, genoa and asymmetrical spinnaker from Doyle Offshore Sails along with a new Chutescoop dousing sock. All of the running rigging is brand new Sta-Set double braid from New England Ropes. A brand new furling unit was installed along with new dock lines and fenders. The original ports were corroded badly so we replaced them with new ones of the same style. Rope clutches and winches have been upgraded to Lewmar. She is also equipped with all new Sunbrella custom covers for grab rails, winches, mainsail and tiller. This is a turnkey boat that is ready for her next adventure!
The Westerly line of boats are better built than Pacific Seacraft's Flicka and Dana models, and ours represents a true bargain given the investment we have made. Own a classic for far less than what you would need to pay for a similar late model vessel!
