1979 Balboa 22
This is a great daysailer or trailer sailer, similar in specs to this boat. She draws under 2' with the 600lb swing keel in the up position, and kick-up rudder in up position. She points surprisingly well with the keel down. She is 19' on the waterline, and has lived in freshwater for most of her days. I and the previous owner kept her in Lake Union and Fremont, respectively. She does not come with a trailer, but is one of the most easily trailered swing keel boats, because the keel comes all the way into the hull. Ablative Antifouling bottom paint was applied 3 years ago, but growth is limited, due to being kept in cold freshwater.
She is rigged as a fractional sloop. The mast is deck stepped with top and intermediate shrouds, headstay and backstay. She comes ready to sail with a main and genoa, running rigging, all in good condition.
Interior cushions are original and in good condition, currently the v-berth has a futon in place of the thin original cushions. Interior is nice and bright, settee on port side, berth on starboard, v-berth forward. Deep red teak trim matches color theme of boat All electrical works, charger installed permanently on bulkhead, interior lights, nav lights, cigarette lighter, bilge pump all functional.
I will include the following gear in the sale:
Anchor + Chain and Nylon combination rode
Flares
Marker Dye
Life Jackets
Cockpit Cushions
Raymarine ST1000 Tiller Pilot
Eagle Depthfinder
Cockpit Compass
DieHard 2.1 Electric Kicker
2 12v Batteries
Deck Brush
Paddle
Powerstrip
Butane Stove
