Boat was outfitted to cruise the Bahamas and is ready to go.
The Hull - Deck joint was cleaned out and rebedded in 2009 with 3M 5200. The toe rail was removed, refinished, reinstalled and through-bolted with SS hardware and fender washers all around. This project took approximately 200 hours. The joint is stronger than new and completely leak free.
AC shore power was installed in 2009 according to ABYC specifications including: Blue Sky distribution panel, marine wiring, galvanic isolator, GFCI outlets.
VHF radio, antenna, GPS, and backup handheld VHF included.
The rig is in good shape with standing rigging replaced in 2004
The traveler was moved to cabin top. The 9' cockpit has a full custom enclosure that can be removed.
The boat does not have a centerboard
The interior was extensively customized with mahogany and has more storage than most 45' boats. The boat was redesigned to sleep 3 adults and is perfect for a cruising couple.
No blisters were found when the boat was surveyed in 2009.
The engine will need the top end rebuilt due to low compression in 1 cylinder. It has never failed to start, stalled, or lost power on me in the year I’ve used it. I received a price estimate of $4,000 for a fully rebuilt engine and a labor estimate of another $4,000 to install it. The cost is factored into the current price, but I may tackle this project myself after the season ends and raise the price accordingly. I wanted to give a future owner the option of buying the boat cheaper and delaying the engine replacement until necessary as I believe it has some years left in it.
