This is a keel-centerboard version of Montgomery 17s with 600 lbs. of lead in her keel.
She is 17’ LOA, with a beam of 7.3’ and she draws 1.75’ with board up and 3.5’ with the board down.
Her total displacement is 1,400 lbs. Her sail area is 154 sq. ft.
The boat is in very good condition save for her brightwork, which needs "brightening" if that is what her new owner desires.
The bilge and cabin floor are bone dry.
She is well equipped with a 2005 Honda 5-hp. 4-stroke outboard (always professionally serviced since I acquired her in 2010), external gas tank for outboard, original main and jib sails, CDI jib furler, lazy jacks with custom main cover, kick-up rudder, Raytheon auto-tiller, battery charger with battery, lighted bulk-head compass, boom vang and hiking stick (both need to be installed), whisker pole, boat hook, anchor with rode, mooring lines, fenders, portable navigation lights and a custom Pacific trailer (serviced on 8/26/2022).
This is the model with a dbl. V-berth and 2 qtr. berths, no galley.
She was taken out of the water on 8/31/2022 and sits on her trailer awaiting her new port.
These salty and seaworthy craft are no longer manufactured and are scarce as hens' teeth east of the Continental Divide.
