Whitetail bucks, Llano County, Texas, rut has started, sparring with their new horns, October 12, 2006

I happened on the old man, (we call him Gray because his hair is going gray) with a younger buck at the beginning of the rut season. The young one seemed to do pretty well even though he's quite a bit smaller. Gray has an atypical rack, much taller but only 7 tines.
