Forrest bought a new 2006 Flying Scot, and on February 28, 2007 we took it out for it's first sail. The first video is Forrest explaining how the boat is rigged. He bought it with almost every option to make it easy to trim from the helm position, very convenient. The 12 to 1 cascading boom vang, centerboard winch, spinnaker halyard and spinnaker pole lift are all led back to the rear of the centerboard trunk. The spinnaker halyard has a spring loaded reel mounted under the deck to take up any slack in the halyard. The jib sheet cleats are mounted on the seat, but Alison said the rounded top of the cleats are not too uncomfortable if you sit on them accidentally.

The second video we took on a sail around Canyon Lake. We launched from Lake Canyon Yacht Club and sailed more than halfway up the lake. It sailed like a dream.
