David Culp bought this 1998 Rhodes 22 in June of 2006, in mid June during a class we met him about midway on Lake LBJ, just north of Applehead Island of Horseshoe Bay. He is sailing wing and wing with the Thomas Ferguson powerplant in the background at first, then with the north side of the lake, which is undeveloped land surrounded by Granite Shoals, then you can see Applehead Island in the background.

This is a high resolution flash video for high speed broadband, 14MB.

David took us for a full moon sail on Oct 6, 2006. We took a few videos from sunset to after moon rise. One of the very few times we were able to take a video of the moonrise. The moon rose right at sunset this month, so there was still a bit of daylight left.

This video is experimental, a windows .wmv file, so it plays with Windows Media Player. You may need the latest version of Windows Media Player to view it, it wouldn't play on my old computer with version 6.4. You may have to click twice on the play button, and it has been processed for high speed broadband and a fast computer. 14 MB, can take over an hour to download on a slow dialup connection.

These videos were taken with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2. A $200 camera designed mainly for still photography, it will take a 30 minute video with sound if you have the 1 Gig memory card. The built in microphone is not extremely good, but it does work.
