Tommy built a house on his property east of Marble Falls in Burnet County, Texas. It has a nice view to the south looking over the west part of Lake Travis, you can see 15 to 20 miles or more from his front porch. Just behind his house on the highest point of his property Tom built the "Star Deck" which has a 360 degree view of the countryside and an unobstructed view of the heavens.

The house has a rainwater collection system. Using no pumps or valves to collect the water, the first 200 gallons of a rain rinses the roof and then diverted to a small tank. When the small tank is filled the rest of the rain goes into the main storage tank. As the water is used it is filtered and treated and pumped into the house. If the rainwater is used up, the house is supplied by well water, but he hasn't run out of rain water since the first rain.

The small video is for dialup users, but the larger one is a much better view.
