Collinda Ltd of England is a distrubutor of speciality chemicals to a range of industries. This company promotes solar powered and electric vehicles on earth, among other good things.
The 22 foot SB Collinda was built by Modular Mouldings of Gweek Cornwall for Collinda LTD, the chemical company. Designed as a solar boat to test electric engines, it was the first solar powered boat to cross the English Channel on July 22, 1997, piloted by Malcolm Moss. She made the crossing in 6 hours 15 minutes. The Collinda is now based on the Thames. |
