Well, that was the idea anyway. Did not pan out. This part of my website is just used for my friends that want to put something online. But for historical reference you will find below what was going on the end of 2003. I decided to give up on this because of copyright issues, people were sending me copyrighted material and pictures and wanted it published as their work.
So, I have to know you personally to publish your material here, and I no longer pay. I will probably delete this entire section for lack of interest, but it's here, and there's a few good articles. All that follows is a general disclaimer type thing I worked up.
Guidelines:
Membership in Get Paid to Write is subject to prior approval of Get Paid to Write. Get Paid to Write reserves the right to refuse service to any new or existing author, in its sole discretion, with or without cause. Approval of membership in Get Paid to Write is limited only to the specific content which the author has supplied for approval. Get Paid to Write reserves the right to withhold approval of membership in Get Paid to Write based on the works primary language, which must be English. Get Paid to Write reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without liability, to reject, omit or exclude any Author for any reason at any time, with or without notice to the Author and regardless of whether such Author was previously accepted.
Representation: Author represents and warrants that: (1) he is the owner or is licensed to use the entire contents and subject matter contained in the submission; (2) the submission is free of any "worm", "virus" or other device that could impair or injure any person or entity; (3) the submission does not violate any law or regulation governing false or deceptive advertising, sweepstakes, gambling, comparative advertising, or trade disparagement; (4) the submission does not contain any misrepresentation, or content that is defamatory or violates any rights of privacy or publicity; (5) Author is generally familiar with the nature of the Internet and will comply with all laws and regulations that may apply; and (6) the author does not and will not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent or other proprietary right. Author grants Get Paid to Write the right and license to publish the submission but does not grant the right to sell the submission. Author will retain all other copyright benefits and may sell their work and have it removed from the website at any time.
Get Paid to Write reserves the right to terminate any Author's relationship with Get Paid to Write at any time, with or without cause. Termination notice may be provided via email or any other public means and will be effective immediately.
Get Paid to Write reserves the absolute right to refuse to affiliate with any Author. Get Paid to Write does not accept Authors that produce or provide adult content, porn, racist or hate submissions. Get Paid to Write does not accept Authors that engage in, promote or facilitate illegal or legally questionable activities such as pirating and hacking. Get Paid to Write does not accept incomplete submissions. This Agreement is voidable by Get Paid to Write immediately if Author fails to disclose, conceals or misrepresents itself in any way. In addition, Get Paid to Write may in its complete discretion refuse to serve any Author that it deems appropriate.
