With a weather forecast of highs in the 50's and a chance of rain, 15 sailors met at the Austin Yacht Club for a weekend of racing. They formed three classes, Lasers, Sunfish, and Portsmouth and the weather was quite good for February. Here the Portsmouth competitors gather saturday morning before the races. Steve Wesson won the first place trophy in the Portsmouth class on his new Aquafin with 5 firsts and 2 seconds. Third place winner Jenny Loehlin in her Harpoon 5.2. David Luckenbach won the tiebreaker for 2nd place in his Flying Scot. Rey Garza was leading the third race when the game warden stopped by and noticed he didn't have his boat registered.
