I went out with John on this 11 metre, and it is a wonderful boat. A real joy to sail, I was very impressed how easy it was to sail. John and Greg were sailing it with just two people before we got there. It really does handle like a dream. We took the video that day, March 21, 2008, and the wind was pretty light, so it was amazing how fast this boat is.
I really like this boat
David of Sailing Texas
Hi David,
So, Wasabi news! I wanted to let you know that I sold her yesterday to a delightful fellow & his wife from DCYC (Lake Lewisville). He is an experienced racer & very excited with the boat. I know Wasabi will have a happy new home. Naturally, it's sorta bitter-sweet thing for me & Cathy because Wasabi has been such a large part of our lives for 15 years. My friends & crew all can't believe I really did it! But, I know it's the right time.
I wanted to thank you & Alison for all you did to help me out. The video was fantastic & I have received /many/ compliments on it. I have now become an advertiser for you & Sailing Texas! I also wanted to let you know about the responses I received. I put ads in about 8 commercial boat web sites (plus some "featured listing" fees), CraigsList, and about 8 other TX Yacht Club web sites. All the legitimate responses I received, where I could identify the source, came from SailingTexas! You have built a very successful operation. THANKS!
Let me know next time you get to Austin - I owe you some beer! Maybe I'll get a ride in a Flying Scot some time. Say HI to Alison.
Cheers, John
