This boat is in very good shape. We raced it actively in the 1970's, a little bit in the 1980's, and not much since then. We're basically 20 years too old (and 30 pounds too heavy) to sail it competively any more. It has been stored with a cover consistently (current cover was custom-made in 1998), so the fiberglass and gel coat are in very good condition. And with the refurbished sails, it's still got a lot of spunk!
The trailer is usable, wheel bearings probably need to be serviced if you plan to tow it a long ways - I can arrange that, at buyer's expense. Tires are in fair-to-good condition. Pictures are attached, call if you have questions or want pictures of any details.

Thanks also for the site about scams. I received two messages with text almost identical to the examples you cited. After I replied with a request for a street address ("so I can send additional photos via UPS"), I heard nothing further from either.
