1967 Alberg 30

  • She was just pulled out of the water last week. Since my business has grown and I have rediscovered the little boat fleet once again, I have not used her much this past summer. When I did, I always singlehanded
  • This 1967 boat is of a classic design. She is well known for her ability to sail in heavy weather. She's seasoned, yes but will last for a long time to come. The boat sails very well and is is light and balanced on the tiller. Boat includes Autohelm, VHF, Depth Finder, 12-volt refrigerator (that works very well), extra sails, cushions, and more. A very nice winter storage cradle is included.
  • Good to very good condition, though it could use some cosmetic work. There may be a screw loose here and there. No big deal. There will be some maint. to perform here and there. A few areas need touch up paint. The wood trim was refinished this year. Electrics and mechanics including Universal Atomic Four engine seem to be in good condition.
  • There are three batteries in all. I just spent $550.00 to replace all batteries, connectors and a rebuild of the alternator. The autopilot is on it's own battery recharged by a small solar cell. The head (toilet) is new but has not used much. There is a macerator on board, but I never bothered to try to get it to work. The mainsail is in good condition and so is the roller furled genoa. A spinnaker and other hank mounted jibs are also included. The cushion inventory is complete and in pretty useable condition. The sink will dispense water (but I don't think it would be potable).
  • There does not seem to be any spider cracks around the stanchions, however there are some in the cockpit. This is typical of the Alberg due to the somewhat soft nature of the cockpit floor. It feels odd, but has not been a problem. There is an inspection port for transmission access. I have never bothered to paint the bottom of the boat. It could probably use a bottom job though it has always been pressure washed at the conclusion of each season.

The boat sold!!! wow that was fast.
    Phil
