The 2003 American 14.6 is a very spacious sloop that offers hassle-free,
stable and dry sailing.
What's Included:
What you get is the boat, original galvanized trailer, and the original
motor (Nissan NS 3.5 HP 2-cycle). The boat comes with all the original
parts such as the rigging, main and jib sails, and a custom-fit canvas cover
with tie-downs. You'll also receive a canvas cover for the motor, a spare
tire, all the original paperwork, extra drain plugs, four type-2 and two
type-4 life preservers, and a couple of soft-sided coolers that fit the bays
just right. We'll even throw in a waterproof tarp.
Why are we selling?:
My wife has lost interest in sailing, so I'm selling her (the boat - not my
wife) for something I can sail alone. The boat has only been out three
times, and only on fresh water. Other than a few wrinkles in the sails,
everything is absolutely flawless and indistinguishable from new.
Price:
Blue Book for this boat, trailer and motor (in average condition) is more
than $4,400. It's a steal at $4,000, and is everything you need to get
started sailing. Will also consider trading for a Sunfish plus cash.
