This boat is a lot of fun because you are right at the waterline when sailing and you can feel every little rudder and sail input. (To compare it to the car world, it's more like a roadster versus your grandad's big old Buick -- you can really feel everything with this boat.)
The boat is in excellent condition -- I've only sailed it 3 or 4 times. I'm the original owner and there is only one defect on the boat. The heeling strap bracket has come loose inside the cockpit and could easily be reattached by a competent repair person. There are a few scratches on the dagger board but nothing significant. The sail has the blue and gold coloring as seen above.
The boat comes with a custom trailer that is really nice. It has two crossbars where you can put kayaks or other stuff. The crossbars are removable so you can launch and recover the boat with the mast up. There is also a 2" receiver mounted on the tongue so you can hook your bike rack onto the tongue and have all your toys on one trailer. It's really neat to be able to head out for a long weekend with the sailboat, two kayaks and 3 or 4 bikes behind you.
Hi David,
We sold the Aquafinn to a guy who drove up from Fresno. He said he saw the
ad on SailingTexas.com. Thanks much! I appreciate all the help.
