1969 Cal 25
Ready to sail.
3 sails in good shape. (storm jib, Genoa, mains).
9.9 Suzuki Outboard motor.
The boat has been heavily customized as can be seen in the pictures. I built a control panel for the lights and electronics etc. Some things haven't been completed as I have no time anymore. This is the list of things that are there, but need to be wired.
A depth finder.
Light on the compass.
The pump for the water faucet.
A second panel for other electronics.
Things I DID wire;
A new radio and antenna.
Anchor and running lights.
Battery and related connections.
This is a very sturdy boat and handles well. It has a
fixed ballast of 1700 lbs so it's hard to tip. It's
the sturdiest sailboat of this size I've ever been on
-- it doesn't slosh around much when you're walking on
it. It has 2 anchors. A pop top that gives you more
head room when not in rough water. Rigged with shore
power. Plenty of winches. It's a flat top boat with
lots of deck room.
This boat was made when they were first starting to
make fiberglass boats -- the story is, they made the
resin much thicker than was really needed because they
weren't sure yet how thick it had to be, so it's
tough. Please don't hesitate to call me with questions
etc.
