Little Wing is a 1978 Cape Dory Typhoon Weekender, hull number 1537. I bought her in a charity auction in December 2000. She had been donated by a couple in Atlanta who had bought her in 1980 from the original owner. She spent her first twenty-two years on Lake Allatoona just outside Atlanta. She spent 2001 in my yard in Austin, TX, where I repaired extensive gelcoat crazing on the bottom, applied an epoxy barrier coat, and new bottom paint. Since May 2002, she has been sailed in Aransas Bay out of Rockport Harbor on the Texas Gulf Coast. She's currently on her trailer under a tarp in Port Aransas.

General Condition:
Bottom - Very good. Needs a couple of coats of bottom paint before she splashes again.
Topsides - Good. A few nicks here and there. Original gelcoat, no patches, no paint. Very good condition for 25 year old boat.
Deck - Good. No signs of soft spots. No crazing. Original sky blue paint on non-skid areas. Non-skid worn in a few spots.
Teak. Good to very good. All but rubrail, toerail and taffrail has been finished with Cetol light. Hatch board is not original, made of plywood, but fits well.
Spars/Rigging - Mast, spreaders and boom in great shape, no dents. Standing rigging showing some age, minor rust but no bent t-bolts or frayed wire. Running rigging is in good shape, no fraying.
Through-Hulls - Very good. Replaced original cockpit drain gate valves with Marelon ball valves and through-hulls. New hoses, double-clamped. No leaks, no corrosion.
The sale price includes:
1998 Johnson/OMC 4hp outboard motor and original bronze Spartan outboard motor bracket. Three gallon plastic external fuel tank.
Single axle trailer.
Three sails. Original main and jib in usable condition. Newer 150% genoa in good condition. All sails in good sailbags.
Vinyl cockpit cushions in very good condition. Original interior cushions in average to poor condition.
Pacific Blue sail covers for main and headsail in very good condition.
Porta-potti. Literally never used.
Assorted lifejackets, hand pump, boarding ladder, etc.
