1986 Cape Dory 330, "ADALEE"
Tall Rig
33' Cutter
Cutter rigged with roller headsails and in-boom furling mainsail (Sto-Boom), very few of this model were built by Cape Dory (only 22). The 330 features a tall sailing rig, T-shaped cockpit with propane locker, teak trimmed fiberglass coamings, separate stand up shower, and extra locker storage space. Cape Dory sailboats are very well built high quality vessels and are very capable offshore as well as coastal cruisers. Adalee has been well maintained and updated with new interior, new hot water heater, new VHF, new VHF cable and new VHF antenna, and a new Auto helm 4000 autopilot. The engine is a Universal 30 Diesel that has also been well maintained and runs great, (sorry it does not have an hour meter attached).Bottom is in good shape with no blistering, just needs new bottom paint before re-launching. Adalee sustained minor damage to the teak toe-rails during Hurricane Katrina(see picture). Adalee was one of the few boats in the Ocean Springs, MS harbor that did not sustain heavy damage, did not sink or take on any water, and was not washed aground. I have pictures of the devastation surrounding Adalee yet she sustained only minor cosmetic damage (evidence of Cape Dory's quality and obvious Divine intervention). After the storm I had the boat hauled and towed to a boatyard in Jackson, Mississippi. My family has had many good times and adventure aboard Adalee, but due to the devastation on the Mississippi coast and a general lack of time, we are offering our Cape Dory for sale. I have seen CD330's listed for over 70K; the price we are asking is firm and reflects the small amount of cosmetic repairs that will need to be made.
Please call me with any questions.
