This is a very stable, easy sailing boat. This boat was designed for the family in mind. The 200lbs of ballast add peace of mind whenever the wind picks up. Also, since this is a fixed keel boat, there is no centerboard trunk to trip over. The result is a clean, clutter free cockpit. This boat is also equipped with a roller furling unit. There are 8 flotation bags sealed under the seats, so in the event the entire boat fills with water, the hull will still float. When I purchased this boat, the wooden structure supporting the cockpit floor was completely rotten. I spent the entire summer replacing the stringers and cockpit floor. I only used marine grade plywood in the repair. Ever piece was re-bonded to the fiberglass with west system epoxy and then filleted and fiberglassed with west system epoxy. I also replaced the shrouds this past season. I sent them off to the west marine rigging shop to have them professionally swaged. While I was at it I added upgraded shroud adjusters. These make it easy to set the proper tension in the shrouds without tools. The new shrouds and adjusters were from West Marine. I added a new main sheet from West Marine. I worked on the trailer by adding new carpeted bunks and a fold-away trailer tongue kit from West Marine. The sails are in fair shape. They are more than sufficient for cruising or family outings. This boat is completely ready to go. No work is needed This boat is a blast to sail and very forgiving. You can easily seat 4 adults.
Hey David,
A gentleman just wrote me a check for the boat not two days ago. She
ended up selling for $1800. Thanks for your help.
