Note from David of Sailing Texas:
I like the Capri 18. Richard brought his up the other day for a private lesson, and I helped rig it, launch it, and sail it.
Stepping the mast was not hard, but you do want an extra high crutch on the stern so you can bolt the mast to the step without hitting the cabin top. I raised the mast easily alone, the mast is light enough for one person.
Sailing was comforable. The Capri 18 sails fine, and the cockpit was roomy, we had 3 adults and never felt cramped. All lines were easy to use, and tacking with the jib was never a problem.
The cabin isn't very big, but for an 18 foot boat it IS big. A forward hatch on the deck blows air when wanted. Extra cushions cover the walkway in the cabin to make a large bed, which I thought looked pretty comfortable.

Hi David,
I sold my capri 18 this weekend for $10,000.
Thanks for the advert (and the nice note you attached).
Thank you allowing me a venue to sell this boat. Now I need to find the next one!!
