1987 Capri 18, upstate New York, $3,850, sold 7/15/05

SPECS:

Boat is in excellent condition. Includes main sheet and jib sails in nice shape. Boat comes with a great running 5HP Mercury Outboard with external portable gas tank. Boat also has all matching covers for both the main & jib sails, motor, and tiller. Boat has brand new bottom paint, nice barometer and wind gauge, winches, line holders, a nonskid deck, railings, teak trim, teak swim ladder, nice adjustable outboard bracket, and a very large self-bailing cockpit with matching blue cushions. The electrical system consists of exterior lights, interior cabin lights, and an electrical panel. I never used boat at night, nor ever tried hooking up a marine battery (no battery included). My guess would be they are factory original to the boat and work fine, but I don't know. Overall, This is a very solid boat that sails and handles very well, like a much bigger boat. This boat can be single handed or used as an excellent family boat. Interior is blue cushions, allows two adults and small child to camp comfortably overnight or for a weekend with ample storage. Boat has porti-poti and built in cooler. This boat is very nice for its age! Trailer included. Trailer is single axle with lights and an extendable tongue for easy dumping/loading. Trailer could use a paint job this season. Other misc. accessories include: air horn, fire extinguisher, anchor, bumpers, a toolbox, first-aid kit, dock lines, some sort of bilge pump, and some pfd's. This is the total package, READY TO SAIL!!!! Boat has only been used on Fresh Water lakes of NY State. Boat is located in upstate NY, could deliver within close proximity, otherwise plan on picking it up. (Near NY / PA border)

I sold my catalina capri hours after listing it, I seriously listed the night of 6/15/05 and sold it the morning of 6/16/05, I waited to tell you to take it off until I had full payment and boat was safely shipped. In that time I had at least 30 more phone calls regarding the boat. The lucky buyer who called first got it and the whole transaction went very smooth. The buyer came to New York from Georgia! Thank You so much, I was worried about selling it around here; that I would have to pay another winters storage...Anyway, your site is better then any I have ever used and its free!!!(?)
