Let me be clear: boat can be sailed as is, but here's what I was planning for the next few seasons to be 100%:
1.) Sand and varnish of exterior woodwork. (1 can of Cetol Marine included, depending on how quick it sells I will be doing this once I have free time / weather is nicer)
2.)Would probably replace some running rigging ropes in the next few years, all serviceable - just weathered.
3.) Trailer is included, but needs minor work for long hauls. Trailer features:
Tongue extension for shallow launch
Keel guides
Newer wiring & working lights
Recent paint
Spare tire
For long hauls / frequent trips, I would suggest:
New tires (due to dry rot)
Repack/replace bearings as precaution (due to age / infrequent use)
Inspect/repair surge brake coupler actuator (seems to need attention every few years)
I live at the lake in the summer, so the trailer's annual use is about 10 miles and winter storage. These safety precautions for the trailer would only be necessary for someone planning to trailer the boat long distance or frequently. The local marine could perform the work and be negotiated into the price (I figure about $250-$500). Only reason for sale is due to job change = less free time. I should also mention I have sold many cars on the internet and know a few insured shippers/haulers who can deliver all over the east coast safely at reasonable rates. Title on boat & trailer are free and clear, ready to go. Boat is located on Keuka Lake in Upstate NY. It currently has a pvc mast rigged fully enclosed tent keeping it out of the elements. Thank you and happy sailing.
