New for 2005 is the Catalina 22 Sport, also known as the MK II. A major redesign of the Catalina 22, with a deck similar to the Capri 22, I like this version much better. A new molded fiberglass lead ballasted centerboard replaces the old cast iron. Unlike the Capri 22, there is not a traveler in the middle of the cockpit. The cabin is different, no dinette like before so it feels more spacious. I think this is going to be a popular boat.
