2006 Catalina 309
I got a preview of the new Catalina 309 at Sea Lake Yacht Sales of Austin. The standing headroom is nice, I'm 6 feet tall and had plenty of room. The cabin is very spacious, with the galley and chart table on either side of the companionway. Forward and rear cabins are comfy. The galley has a AC/DC fridge/freezer, stove top, microwave and sink. Enclosed head with shower and sink to port by the V-berth cabin.
Easy to sail with roller furling headsail and in mast furling main. The cabin top traveler is out of the way which leaves the large cockpit unobstructed. A quiet 21 hp Yanmar diesel provides the power. Catalina did well with this boat, I like it!
