The Catalina 36, with nearly 3000 built, is one of the most successful cruising sailboats ever built. More people have gone just about everywhere in a Catalina 36 than in any other cruising boat. This pristine vessel was delivered new to it's existing slip at the Fort Worth Boat Club on Eagle Mountain Lake, which is part of the fresh water supply for Fort Worth, Texas. The Marina is well protected from wave action. It's hard to imagine a boat that has undergone less wear or stress. The 35 hp, freshwater cooled, diesel engine has only 23 hours on it. The sails look and feel brand new.
This is a Wing Keel version that draws only 4'5" and sails like a dream. Points well and easily reaches hull speed on all points of sail. Open transom allows for easy access from the water. A real convenience and a huge safety factor in a man-over-board recovery. Keel is 4500# of lead carried externally. This is a huge benefit if you are cruising among coral heads. There are wide side decks for safety. Custom stainless and lexan companionway doors.
Rig - Standard rig - clears 55' bridges. Roller furling 150 Genoa and battened main with a Dutchman flaking system. Mast is Keel steeped.
Running rigging- Shaeffer Roller furling and all lines including jiffy-reefing, lead to cockpit. Traveler has dual controls. Includes spare halyard for spinnaker or cruising chute. Set up to easily single hand.
2- 8D batteries were replaced last year.

One of our reasons for buying a Catalina 36 is that there is great factory and dealer support. There is also an established market for both buying and selling. If the buyer of the boat is approved for membership at the Fort Worth Boat Club the boat could remain in the existing slip.
We would like to thank you very much for all your help in putting our ad together for our boat (Catalina 36 #101). We sold the boat to a guy off a call from Sailing Texas. Please mark as sold and again thank you so much.
