1976 C&C 24

  • Great day sailor / racer sailboat located in Kemah Texas. This boat sails wonderfully and is in great mechanical shape. This is a sharp looking boat with the exterior paint in good to great condition. The deck is solid as a rock with no soft spots. The hull is made of solid fiberglass and has no damage to my knowledge.
  • The main and jib sails were recently reworked by a professional sail maker and are in good to great condition.
  • Halyards replaced in summer 2006 with new Stayset-X cord.
  • Running rigging replaced with new in summer 2006.
  • Upgraded block and tackle to a, great used condition, harken 6 to 1 purchase for easy adjustments.
  • Blocked eyelets were installed on the roof deck by the previous owner so the mainsheet block and tackle can be placed on the traveler or on the roof to open up cockpit space.
  • The jib winches work great.
  • This boat includes a great looking custom mahogany tiller handle with built in mahogany tiller lock made in fall of 2006. It also has the original mahogany tiller that was refinished in summer of 2006.
  • New teak handrails were installed in fall of 2006.
  • Aluminum window frames were professionally powder coated in white by previous owner.
  • Windows appear to have been replaced with smoke tinted by the previous owner.
  • Shore power added in fall 2006 and all lights work great.
  • All interior cushions are in good to great condition with no rips, but blue fabric is faded in areas.
  • She also has a new (summer 2006) porta potty, working 12 volt battery, blue canvas hatch cover, blue canvas hand rail covers, blue main sail cover, sail bag for jib sail, working aluminum outboard motor mount, stainless steel (danforth, I think) anchor holder, new stainless lifelines, and everything needed for sailing.
  • I had the bottom looked at this summer by the local divers and they reported that it was faired very well and found no blisters but reported that it could use a good cleaning.
  • The only thing needed to make this an excellent sailboat would be some woodwork on the inside of the boat where the seat backs attach to the wall, a bilge cover, and a new hatch door.
  • I am selling this boat for way below market value because I have purchased a larger live aboard and I would like to clear the slip as soon as possible. This is a great deal on this boat that won't last long.

    David,
I sold the boat last night to a local Texas sailer. Thanks for all the help.
    Thanks Again
    Jared
