1972 C&C Yachts 27 Mark I, St. Petersburg, Florida, $8900, Sold

The C&C 27 is a classic fibreglass sailboat that is well-known for the quality of its construction and performance. This particular example is in excellent, sailaway condition. The engine is the Atomic 4 inboard gas engine which is in good running order. The roller furling system was added in 2002 and includes 145% and 130% genoas. The mainsail has been completely refurbished and is in very good condition. Two heavy duty class 27 deep cycle batteries were installed in 2003 and can be charged from a ship-to-shore onboard battery charger (Guest 2611) and can be monitored with a digital voltmeter. New lifelines were installed in 2003. Electronic and navigational equipment includes compass, depthsounder, VHF radio, AM/FM stereo, Autohelm 2000 and a 50 watt solar panel. Ground tackle includes two 14lb Danforth anchors, each with 150 ft of anchor chain/rope. Below decks there is all new upholstery and all the teak has been refinished. Headroom is 6 ft. The galley contains an Origo 3000 double burner alcohol stove. A new portapottie was installed in 2002 which can be plumbed to the onboard holding tank or directly overboard. This C&C 27 is exceptional.
