It has been a winning boat when raced in the Great Lakes as well as in Kansas.
The boat has been meticulously maintained and has only sailed in freshwater (Lake Erie, Lake Huron, and Lake Perry. The bottom was reworked in 2004 with a new barrier coat, and VC 17. The boat sleeps 5 in one double Vee berth, one double settee and a single settee. There is an insulated icebox, a water tank, and an enclosed head (not a porta-potty) with holding tank.
All control lines are led back to the cockpit for safety. Windward sheeting is also in place. There is a very responsive wheel steering. The sail inventory includes main, 150% Genoa, 110% jib, 135% drifter, an 80% jib, and a spinnaker. A two-track Harken furler controls the headsail.
