We spent two winters in Florida on Ark Angel and loved it. A good opportunity to get a larger boat presented itself and as much as we loved "Ark Angel we could not resist.
The C&C 34 is a top performing cruiser/racer with modern styling. A blue water boat that sails very well.
Starting at the bow there is a forward cabin with a large easily accessed v-berth with substantial storage underneath in 4 separate compartments. Also a small bureau and roomy shelves on both sides above v-berth along inside of hull, plus large tinted acrylic opening overhead hatch and a privacy door.
Next aft to port is a hanging locker with large storage shelf above and opposite to starboard is the enclosed head with shower. The head has a counter with sink pressure water and foot pump with storage above in large cabinet and two compartments below counter.
The main salon is amidships with a L-shaped settee to starboard (extends to a double berth), a straight settee to port. There are numerous storage compartments under and behind cushions of the settees as well as cabinets above. The cushion and cushion covers were replaced in 2005 including cockpit cushions. There is above average headroom throughout Ark Angel.
The L-shaped galley is to starboard of the companionway with deep single stainless steel sink with pressure water and foot pump. There is a norcold 110v refrigeration system.
There is a sit-down forward facing nav-station with chart storage below to port of the companionway. Aft of the nav-station is a double quarter berth.
The engine is the original Yanmar 2QM20 20 hp 2cyl diesel very reliable has never failed to start even after 6 mths in storage and does not take any oil between changes which I performed every 100 hrs. The zincs in the engine were at 50% when I bought Ark Angel and I have changed every time we launched her in November(last 2 yrs) although they did not really need it. Engine has easy access from beneath removable companionway steps and from starboard side cockpit locker.
The new high output alternator (110 amp Leese-Neville alternator is same as 7 series balmar) and 4 new Trojan T-105 batteries (450 amp hrs total)were installed with all new marine grade wiring and new Xantrex smart programmable multi stage alternator regulator limited to 90% alternator capacity. Batteries were checked weekly by hygrometer and were never discharged below 50%. Batteries are being maintained by a new 22 watt self regulating solar panel.
There are two high capacity electric bilge pumps installed 2000 and 3500gph with automatic switches because we used to leave are pets onboard but the bilge was so dry the only time they would go on was when I would test them.
We have been sprucing up Ark Angel up since we bought her 2 1/2 years ago (Feb 2004). The boat is structurally and mechanically in excellent condition. With no soft spots on deck and never a blister below the waterline.
There is a survey available from Feb 2004 reporting her in good condition and all recommendation were completed shortly after purchase.
Ark Angel has her share of scratches and dings like any older boat but all major system are in good condition. The electronics will need to be replaced. The teak handrails are due to be rebedded and one of the stanchions on the starboard side. I also removed the air filter for the engine to match a replacement so a new one is required.
We transferred the new electronics and the stove to our new boat and these will need to be replaced. The boat is ready to move in to, we spent last winter on it(2006).
The boat has all SS rod rigging in excellent condition. The last owner (#2 I'm #3) was a professional rigger and had the rod rigging re-tipped 3 yrs before I bought Ark Angel so it should not be due to be serviced for another 5 yrs.
There are brand new custom fabricated 316ss rails and dual anchor platform for the bow I simply did not have time to install before we put her in dry storage.
The hull received a new coat of bottom paint in November 2005.
Ark Angel is presently in dry storage at Indiantown marina in Florida.
The Boat has been cleaned and emptied since the pictures were taken.
We are anxious to sell so make an offer.
