1983 ComPac 16

  • I have thoroughly enjoyed this Compac 16, and find it very difficult to part with her. She is just a pleasure to captain.
  • She is an elegant creature that will capably carry you off the ramp or out of the marina when other sailors are frankly too nervous to go. She is a stable vessel, eager to "put to sea" even in heavy wind.
  • She has about 450 pounds of ballast, displacing approximately 1100 pounds. This 40% ballast ratio is how the big boats are built and how they maintain their stability. She's shoal-drafted.
  • Main and jib sails, original, sail-bag
  • Trailer with good tires, hitch is 1 7/8", bearing buddies, spare bearings kit, spare bulbs
  • Halyards replaced '06
  • All exterior wood re-stained & lacquered in '06
  • Wildflower Blue Cove-stripe & Water-line in '06
  • Old British SeaGull engine that needs a fixin' (I never use a motor)

A gentleman saw it on Sailing Texas, came out the same day, made an offer, and towed her away.
Thank you for all that you do!
    Austin, Texas
