1979 Compac 16

  • Honda 2 HP four stroke
  • Majic tilt trailer
  • Main sail, jib and 150 Genoa
  • All sails are in good shape.
  • The Honda is a 1997ish 2hp four stroke engine. It sips straight gasoline, no mixing oil with the gas!
  • The boat has a few dings and scrapes, as does any twenty six year old boat. Nothing that's in need of repair, unless its for cosmetics.
  • It is a great sailing boat. Very stable and has a very solid, sturdy hull.
  • I have sailed it in 15-20 knot winds with 2-3 ft chop. The boat likes a good wind and is really fun when its a little rough. The hull is foam filled they say and I don't think you could ever blow over in it.
  • The boat never sat in the water more than a night. Its stays on the trailer.
  • The interior has the two original cushions down below, they need a good cleaning. The interior paint is peeling and if I were going to sleep down there I would paint and maybe get new thicker cushions. The boat has running lights on it but the wiring is gone??? wasn't there when I got it.
  • The trailer is in good shape. The axle was replaced just before I got it . The spindles on this axle fit Chevy six lug pattern and it has 15 inch wheels.

The sail boat sold. Thank you for all your time and effort and keep up the great web site. Thanks again. Russ
