2000 ComPac Sun Cat, hull #16
Gaff-rig catboat with Mastender® mast raising system, stainless steel centerboard, Clark Mills design built by Com-Pac.
Performance galvanized single axel trailer in good condition, lights all working, spare tire on mount.
Boat is tan cabin over a white hull, with blue canvas. Good condition.
LOA: 17' 4"
beam: 7' 3"
displacement: 1500 lbs
draft: board up - 1' 2" / board down - 4' 6"
The SunCat was designed as a roomy day boat with overnight capability (sleeps 2 adults comfortably). Rigs and sails easily (the Mastendr ™ system allows the mast to be raised and secured in seconds), comfortable, and stable. The boat feels like it is much larger than its 17 feet would have you believe. Perfect for gunkholing and coastal sailing; the shoal draft allows you to explore waters that many boats cannot. Clark Mills design, well constructed by the folks at Com-Pac. No hype - I have set this boat up single-handed in less than 10 minutes. Lazy jacks and single line reefing make for easy sail handling from the cockpit. Trailers easy/sets up quick and easy/sails great. The modern rudder and centerboard make for great sailing characteristics. Opening ports allow good ventilation in the cabin.
Owner is a regular participant on the TSBB Catboat Forum; the boat is well-known there.

Hi David,
As of today, the money has been deposited and the boat is sold! Thank you so much for this service you offer. The buyer first contacted us from the ad on your site. So, please mark it sold and know you have our heartfelt thanks for your help. The buyer seems like a good guy and will get good use out of the SunCat. We will be delivering the boat to Phoenix at the end of the month, where he will pick it up and take it home to California.
When we know we will be spending time at home again, we will look first at your site for our next sailboat (and, yes, there will be another sailboat).
Best wishes,
Jim
