This is a 1980 custom built boat by Shea Marine for the 1/2 ton racing circuit that existed in the US in the 1970s and 1980s. This boat is one of three off the mold before the design was adjusted. It is a West Epoxy molded hull-cedar strips, with Plywood Decks.
Designed by: Graham & Schlagerter Inc, 1980, Design # 23
Beam = 9'8"
Draft = 6'
Displacement = 5650#
The wood is in good condition and the hull will pass a survey.
The plywood decking and its supports have been updated over the years.
In the four years that I have owned the boat I have replaced:
New transom to better support the outboard
Replaced the hatch molding
New wood to the laminated bow piece.
The boat is ready to race (PHRF rating=144), day sail or overnight cruising.
It has a 2006 Doyle Main Sail ($2200.)

3 genoas 105%, 2- 150%

a Harken furler system ($2000)
Spinlock sheet clutches

The 1980 BMW diesel has been replaced with a 2007 8hp Yamaha electric tilt/ start outboard (under 20 hours on engine).
The Harken Roller furling was added in 2007
Line clutches were added in 2007& 2008
New main halyard and Spinnaker halyard in 2008.
Also in 2007 a New Doyle mainsail.
8 other sails come with the boat.
2 older spinnakers, 1.5 & .5 oz, slightly used.
85% Storm Jib, 105% jib, 3 -155 gennys, 3.5 oz, 5.5 and 3.0 mylar, older, some stained
Staysail-older slightly used.
Woodworking has been replaced as needed, new and reinforced transom to hold outboard added in 2008.

This boat is easily maintained, good for short handed sailing and can provide a lot of sailing fun for very little money.
