1986 Custom 50 gaff rigged yawl
designer/builder was a engineer from california..this is a heavily built boat with a modified wing keel. The builder took the hull of a well built (no rot ..at all) navy motor launch, cyprus on heavy oak frames and then laid up a 3/4 inch fiberglass hull over that looks like it was laid up in a mold. She has been half way around the world....twice...thru two hurricanes and a tsunami and still in great shape.She draws 6 ft. has a 10 ft. beam, gaff rigged main, a marconi mizzen, all lines are led aft to the cockpit. fairly new furuno radar, two bunks foreward, stateroom midship. 70 gal. water and fuel tanks built into the keel with a reserve/day tank in the engine room.
She comes with a good stainless dickerson diesel wall mounted heater..but we built an airtight wood stove that has served us well for 3 years now.
We have owned her for 4 years and cruised her from seattle to alaska with no problems at all.
