This vintage Ericson is built like a tank with thick glass, no oil-canning. All thru-deck fittings are into solid glass to eliminate delamination.
This Ericson has had its inboard motor removed and replaced with a 9.9
Johnson Sailmaster, 2-stroke long-shaft motor, serial #G03838763. Less
weight and trivial winter storage and maintenance. The engine has an
electric start wired to the battery with an alternator which charges the
batteries. Motor was mounted on a new retractable mount in 2008 to
clear the prop from the water when sailing. There is a 6 gallon
portable fuel tank and a 5 gallon reserve.
