Weight:
160 lbs.

Description:
The Expedition 14.5 is a unique boat with a relatively low production number. It is based of a Laser 2 hull with a different rigging setup: The Expedition features a kevlar/carbon-fiber furling mast system with a single transparent main sail. This setup is easy to use for lone sailing and provides more sail area then the traditional Laser 2. The overall design is pretty ergonomic and can allow for two comfortly. The 14.5 has the stability that comes within this class while also maintaining a performance feel. This gives the user the confidence to drive the boat hard. Make no mistake, this is a Fast and Fun boat! The Escape Expedition 14.5 won boat of the year from Sailing World in the "Performance Day Sailor" category upon it's production release in 1998. The boat has been in the family since new in 1998 and has sailed only the fresh water lakes of NY. The boat is used, it does have a few scratches, but is in real nice overall shape. The only reason I'm selling is because I just don't have the time to use it anymore. The boat is currently stored at a small cottage on Keuka lake in upstate NY. I don't have a trailer for sale with the boat, but one could be available to aid in delivery within a close range. Additionally, the sailboat can go on a suv/van roof top, at 160lbs it's not too bad with two people, and I know it fits on top of my Dodge Durango just fine.
Recently sold for full asking price to a nice guy from Rochester, NY. Thanks David.
