2004 Escape Rumba
Sail boat and sail are like new. The hull is made of super impact-resistant roto-molded polyethylene and has always been kept in a garage. Galvanized trailer with very good tires and a spare tire/wheel. Boat, trailer and mast easily fit in a garage. Includes life jacket, paddle and owner's manual. It is complete and ready to sail.
Quickly gets up to speed in the lightest of winds yet the powerful sail is easily tamed by the ability to instantly roll away the sail on its 'smart rig'. The sail wraps around the mast for quick rigging, furling, unfurling and partial sail adjustments on the water. The centerboard and rudder swing up in shallow water or for beaching. A swinging centerboard is rarely found on a small boat.
It is fun to sail and would be considered a good starter boat for those who want to learn to sail. Want stability? The hull design makes it 3X less likely to capsize than a traditional sailboat - you'll spend more time sailing and less time swimming! This boat is light and pulls easily behind a small car.
The forward cockpit provides lots of space, and the aft cockpit features sculptured bucket seats with excellent lower back support, so you can sit, and be very comfortable in light breezes. The cockpit is also self-draining, with drink holders and mast step. When the wind picks up, the rounded sides offer a great platform to hike out for ultimate speed and performance.
