1999 Escape Rumba

  • Hull Measures 12 ft long
  • Mast is 18 ft tall and can be removed easily for transport
  • I purchased this boat in June 2006 as my first sailboat. I have decided to move up to something bigger this year. I have always stored the boat INSIDE and have put it on the lake about 12 times since I have owned it.
  • The centerboard and rudder swing up in low water or for beaching and putting on trailer.

    == REPAIRS AND UPGRADES ==

  • January 2006: new sail purchased by the previous owner
  • July 2006: new rope set
  • November 2006: replaced cracked wooden rudder with a custom made UV resistant marine board rudder
  • Early 2007: centerboard replaced with a brand new centerboard
  • the front deck had a crack in it that has been plastic welded
