1978 Force 5
This is a really nice boat and LOTS of fun. It sails like a Laser, but it is more comfortable!
We had a few repairs done on the bottom of the boat by a professional fiberglass repairman over the summer. The area around the keel trunk, which usually is cracked was also repaired and strengthened by the repairman.
This boat came with 2 masts, but we decided to use the nicer of the two, which we put all new joints (connectors) on.
The boom has a few new pieces of hardware on it as well.
The hardware on the boat itself was all resealed last summer.
We also installed a new Harken double block for the mainsheet.
There are 2 sails for this boat. One is the standard colorful Force 5 sail and is in better condition than the white racing sail.
We also purchased new lines, new battens (yet to be installed in the colorful sail), and a new bailer. The bailer was damaged on the bottom of the boat and the structure was repaired, but the bailer was not installed. It should be an easy repair for anyone.
The rudder has new springs, the dagger board is wood and is in good shape, and the tiller & extension are in good shape.
All in all this is was a good boat that was given the TLC it needed to become a great boat.
David,
Thanks so much for having a great website and taking the time to list my boat. I sold her this morning! (Force 5 102)
I will continue to use and recommend your website in the future.
