This boat has a very large and comfortable cockpit, we have had 8 in the
cockpit for cocktails! It also has a solid bridgedeck forward with a sail
locker and anchor locker in the bridegedeck. The foredeck is HUGE! It is
large enough to put 4 folding chairs on the foredeck.
The Gemini sails very flat! Seven degrees of heel and it is time to reef! At
7 degrees of heel your beer will not slide across the dinette table! She
also sails fairly quick for a 30 foot boat. We have sailed, heavily loaded
for cruising at speeds in excess of 7 knots for many hours at a time.
Interior, proceeding in through the DOOR is the dinette. It seats 6 comfortably. The propane/ 110 volt refrigerator is on the bridgedeck just to starboard of the door, and to port is the battery box with an 8D battery. The box is easy to get into as the lid is hinged. All of the 12 volt switches are above the battery box and very accessible from the cockpit or the interior of the boat, as is the VHF.
Along with the switches is the stereo and a link 10 battery monitor. Stepping down to starboard is the galley with a 2 burner stove, with oven and broiler, a double sink, a cupboard for pots and pans, a drawer for cutlery, storage below the counter and under the dinette seat. Forward of the galley is the master stateroom with a queen size berth, brand new mattress, and storage in a bureau outboard and some shelves can easily be added in the vee of the starboard hull.
Aft of the galley, the starboard aft cabin is fully carpeted and has been used for storage. Crossing the bridgedeck to the port hull you are in the nav station. Lots of countertop and storage space. forward is the large head with a shower. Aft of the nav station is the port aft cabin with a mattress and some storage space.
